Senior team restructure paves way for future growth at Redpath

A well established refurbishment, interiors and construction company based in Glasgow has restructured its executive team as the business heads into its second decade.

Redpath has created an operational board to support the founders of the business managing director Jim Pritchard and Alistair Sloan.

The pre-contracts team are led by marketing and business development manager, Susan Cardwell, and by estimating manager Derek Dornan; with Iain Collins, as senior commercial manager, heading a team of quantity surveyors; and Clark Moore, as construction manager, leading the construction teams.

Jim and Alistair bring a combined 70 years’ experience in the industry, many of which were at board level with regional and national contractors. Susan, Derek, Iain and Clark (currently) have fewer grey hairs, but have considerable ability, energy, enthusiasm and ambition.

The Redpath board said it is confident that this will be a winning structure and a winning team.

The team has been further strengthened by the promotion of Matthew Brown from project manager to contracts manager. Matthew now heads up the general works division delivering projects up to around £500,000.

Derek Clark recently left the business and Redpath wished him well in his future endeavours.

Jim Pritchard said: “Our new operational board means that each of the four key disciplines of marketing, estimating, quantity surveying and construction is headed up by a talented and ambitious manager providing support to myself and Alistair.

“We are confident that our team is well-placed to help us further improve the service we provide to our clients and drive our business forward in the next phase of our development.”

And finally… Action film showcases Redpath’s Glasgow projects

Construction firm Redpath has released a video which captures the locations of six live projects it is currently undertaking in Glasgow city centre.

The action video, filmed on a drive through the city centre, highlights the concentrated geography of the sites.

The projects include:

  • Buchanan Street – external refurb
  • Bath Street – conversion of St. Stephen’s House from office to serviced apartments
  • George Square – conversion of commercial unit at George House to create a new retail shell
  • Vincent Street – external refurb

Having established the business in Glasgow in 2008, Redpath opened its Edinburgh office 2016.

The majority of its work comes from building consultants such as PMP, Doig & Smith, Trident, Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, Gleeds, Colliers, Galbraith, Workman, etc.

Redpath celebrates £10m of new projects

RedpathBusiness is booming at refurbishment, interiors and construction business Redpath following the award of nine new projects worth a combined £10 million.

The projects are spread across the commercial, PRS, retail and student accommodation sectors throughout the central belt.

In a market plagued by uncertainty, the Glasgow and Edinburgh-based firm said it is proving to be the regional contractor of choice.

Managing director Jim Pritchard said: “We are delighted to be developing our relationships with new and existing clients and consultants. We are proving time and again that our collaborative approach is attractive to our clients ensuring competitive pricing and early site starts.

“We are developing our business from the bottom up with our new projects spanning values from £35,000 to £4.3m. This mix of projects allows us to develop continually our experience which we then pass onto our clients.”
