Advance Your Career in Construction Project Management

At this moment the industry is on the cusp of a revolution brought about by progressive digitisation, and the opportunities for innovations that integrate AI, automated fabrication and assembly, and robotics. The scope for creativity and innovation in the construction of buildings and cities is enormous, and the industry needs creative thinkers who will advance positive change. There can be few industries in which the range of opportunity is so rich.

The MSc Construction Project Management at Robert Gordon University (RGU), in Aberdeen is suitable for graduates from any subject that is allied to the built environment, including architects, technologists, surveyors, construction managers and engineers.

The need for expertise in the organisation, management, and co-ordination of projects is significant. Traditionally a relatively backward and highly wasteful industry, there is a need for experts in supply chain management, quality control, complex logistics, and project planning. The delivery of high quality, value for money, sustainable projects is fundamental to the industry, whether in relation to major civil engineering works or the restoration of valuable examples of the remarkable built heritage that Scotland possesses.

On the MSc Construction Project Management, the opportunity exists to study full-time on campus or part-time in the workplace via our online virtual campus. The online option enables you to gain a Master’s level qualification whilst in employment, and this flexibility is welcomed by many. Informed by our close dialogue with industry, the degree equips you strongly for a career in this exciting field of work, as well as developing attributes in creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative working approaches that are highly sought after.

We offer two entry points; September 2019 and January 2020. If you are interested, we would like to hear from you.
