Inverclyde Council has approved plans for £2 million community centre in Greenock.

Poised to break ground this summer, Craigend Resource Centre is the product of seven years of design development at the hands of INCH Architecture + Design.



The state-of-the-art facility will include a cafe, crèche, multi-function hall, information technology training room, laundry, training kitchen and flexible meeting spaces.

 

  • Larger McDonald’s drive-thru plan for Toryglen approved

Planners have approved revised plans for a 24-hour drive-thru McDonald’s restaurant at Toryglen.



The company already had permission for single-storey outlet with 107 seats at Asda on Prospecthill Road but have now been given permission for a two-storey building with 180 seats instead.

 

  • NHBC launches free virtual training

NHBC has this week launched a series of free virtual training webinars to help support the sector during the COVID-19 outbreak.



NHBC’s specialist training team will host webinars each day from April 1 to help homebuilders and their supply chain keep up to date on a wide range of topics such as NHBC standards, building regulations, onsite good practice and health and safety requirements.

NHBC’s head of training and analysis, Darryl Stewart, said: “During these uncertain times we are pleased to be able to support the industry with a suite of virtual training, helping the sector make good use of time whilst broadening individual skill sets.

“The daily webinars will be free to all NHBC customers and their supply chain. With content covering a wide spectrum of topics we hope we have a little something for everyone.”
