Caledonia Housing Association awards over £3m of local contracts

charlotte_gate_Caledonia Housing Association has awarded over £3 million of responsive repairs contracts to local companies Novus Property Solutions and McGill & Co Ltd.

The three year contracts will run from October 1.

The two firms who beat off a significant level of competition during the tender process which was based 70% on quality and 30% on cost, reflective of Caledonia’s priority to ensure repairs are right first time.

Tim Calderbank, Caledonia Housing Association operations director, said: “The new contractors will operate an appointment system for completion of non-emergency repairs. This will provide choice to our customers and ensure that their repairs are undertaken at a time and date that suits their lifestyles. This is in line with our strategic objective to transform customer service and our aim to meet customers’ expectations.”



Novus will be supporting Caledonia’s responsive repairs in the East covering Dundee, Fife and Angus with McGill & Co Ltd covering Caledonia’s properties in the West, predominantly in Perthshire. The contracts will create more flexibility in the delivery of the day–to-day repair services delivered to tenants.
