CCG (Scotland) Ltd has commenced work on a new £8.2 million care home in West Dunbartonshire on behalf of award-winning care provider, Morrison Community Care Group.

Once complete, the exclusive Kingsacre Luxury Suites - located just off Concho Road in Duntocher - will offer expert 24-hour residential, nursing and dementia care.

The facility will be operated by owners Morrison Community Care Group - a small family-run care group which owns the award-winning Abbotsford House Care Home in Bearsden.

The new care home will boast 69 luxury suites, four dining rooms, a visitor’s café, hair and beauty salon and a private cinema. A roof terrace, private gardens and a putting green will also allow be available to residents. The facility is due to open in Summer 2019 with reservations being taken from Winter 2018.

Kingsacre is the second project to have been undertaken by Cambuslang-based construction firm CCG (Scotland) Ltd for Morrison Community Care.

In 2017 the building business successfully delivered Abbotsford House Luxury Suites in Milngavie. The firm will use their iQ timber frame system – constructed off-site - to ensure enhanced environmental performance and a faster speed of build.

Paul Sokhi, Managing Director of Morrison Community Care, said: “Our 29 years experience in the industry has shown us that people want to have fun in their old age and we want to encourage this through design and environment. By encouraging people out of the often-lonely surroundings of their own homes into an environment where there is a vibrant community we hope to give residents and their families an extra lease of life.

“We understand that people age at different rates and at different times, and as such we have a responsive, highly trained care and clinical team on site that will allow Kingsacre to be a home for life in every sense of the word. We are delighted to have CCG back on board after they completed our 45 luxury suite development in Milngavie late last year. ”

Alastair Wylie, Chairman and CEO of CCG, said: “CCG’s experience in the care sector is growing with a number of projects delivered across central Scotland over the last four years. When we were asked to work with Morrison Community Care Group again, we were delighted to be brought on board for Kingsacre Luxury Suites.

“The development will continue Morrison’s trend of providing luxury accommodation and the highest quality of service. CCG will ensure the speed and quality of our construction work will match their impeccably high standards. We look forward to continuing our partnership as we move toward a summer-2019 completion.”

Morrison Community Care Group have said they will provide the local community with up to 100 new jobs once the new facility is open. CCG will be encouraging youth development and skills building through their established trade apprenticeship programme.
