Deveron Construction has announced the completion of a nursing home project in Keith.

The £3.2 million plus development has come about thanks to a collaboration between the Huntly-based firm and care home operator Craigard Care Ltd.

The new facility, named Weston View, will replace Craigard Care’s current Keith home Weston House which has served the community of Keith for many years. All of the residents currently in Weston House will transfer to the new home in the next few weeks.

Once in Weston View, the residents will benefit from a wide range of modern facilities in a safe and secure environment with peaceful, landscaped gardens, first-class catering and five-star, stylish interiors.

Alan Murray, managing director at Deveron Construction, said: “We have worked with Craigard Care on this project for quite some considerable time so we are delighted to see its successful completion. The new nursing home in Keith will be a truly outstanding facility and will set the standard for elderly care not only in Keith but across the region.”

Stephen Cowie, director at Craigard Care, said: “This has been a huge project for our family-run business and Deveron Construction have worked very hard to help us achieve the quality outcomes that we were looking. I am confident that Weston View Care Home will quickly become an important part of the social care infrastructure of the area and most importantly, a much-loved home to our residents.”

Weston View Care Home lies within close proximity of the new residential development from Deveron Construction’s sister company Deveron Homes. The 54-house Strathisla Park project features two, three and four bedroom properties and will be completed in two phases.
