The firm will now be based at Unit 4, Slotline House, Largo Road, St Andrews, KY16 8NJ.

The move, which took place in early April, was triggered by DM Hall’s premises in Cupar coming to the end of its lease.

Ewen Sparks, who led the firm’s operation at Cupar and will continue to do so from St Andrews, said: “We needed to move premises when the lease of 25 Crossgate in the town came to an end.

“In deciding where to move we considered that we would be in a stronger position to serve all of our clients in North East Fife if we made the move to St Andrews.

“As it happens, I also live there and, inevitably, have close connections with the community, but we are at pains to stress that we will continue to service our clients and contacts in Cupar with unstinting dedication.”

Married with two children, Ewen has life and work associations with St Andrews that stretch back over thirty years. He was chairman of the St Andrews Merchants Association from 2003 to 2007 and is also a past president of the St Andrews Business Club.

DM Hall’s managing partner, John McHugh, said: “We see this move as an opportunity to underline our commitment to North East Fife and to refresh our offering of local knowledge, expertise and experience to the entire community from a new base.

“In Ewen, we have an accomplished residential property expert, well-known throughout the area, and with unrivalled understanding of the residential property market in North East Fife.

“From our clients’ point of view, the process for instructing work throughout the area remains unchanged and will continue to be seamless.”
