Funding has been agreed on four early years projects being delivered by hub West Scotland on behalf of East Dunbartonshire Council.

Plans for the Southbank Early Years Centre in Kirkintilloch

Under the partnership, three new two-storey facilities will be developed in beside Brookwood Library in Bearsden, at Southbank Road in Kirkintilloch and at the former St Joseph’s Primary School in Milngavie.

A refurbishment and part-extension will also be carried out at Killermont Primary School in Bearsden.

All the projects have been designed by Holmes Miller to prioritise ‘experience-based’ play spaces and ‘stimulating’ outdoor landscapes.

The projects, which have a full value of £10 million, will be delivered by Robertson Group with Doig & Smith and Will Rudd Davidson making up the design team.

In a statement hub West Scotland wrote: “We are pleased to announce the significant milestone of financial close of the four early years projects we are delivering in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council.



“These innovatively designed projects are on-site and we look forward to delivering high-quality facilities on programme.”
