Edinburgh Architectural Association unveils 2015 awards shortlist

Edinburgh Architectural AssociationMorgan McDonnell Architecture’s Advocates Close, the Malcolm Fraser Architects designed Arcadia Nursery and Loch Leven Viewpoint by Icosis Architects have each received double nominations in the upcoming awards by the Edinburgh Architectural Association.

In total 46 submissions were received for the 2015 EAA Awards. All projects are designed by registered architects and built within the chapter area, with exception to the Ambassador Award which is built out with the chapter.

          • The 2015 Judges are Donald Canavan RIAS - EAA Vice President, Beth Fraser RIAS - EAA Council Member, Annabel Cooper – ECCI Communications Officer (ECCI - Winner of 2014 EAA Building of the Year Award) and Susan Edington - The Haining Charitable Trust (The Haining – Winner of Regeneration and Conservation 2014 EAA Awards Commendation).

            The results will be announced at a celebratory drinks event at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation on Tuesday 31st March 2015 from 6pm-9pm. A limited number of tickets for the event are available free of charge to architects within the Chapter area of Edinburgh, the Lothians, the Borders and south Fife. These can be obtained by applying to Stuart Bryce mail@eaa.org.uk. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

            An exhibition showcasing the shortlisted entries will be held at the RIAS, Joyce B Deans room at 15 Rutland Square, Edinburgh from 19th March 2015 until 28th April 2015. This is open to the public from 9.00am until 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Images of the short listed entries will be available to view on our website shortly.
