Growth on cards for Hadden Construction following HQ upgrade

Hadden_Construction_Logo-squareHadden Construction is looking to restart residential development after completing work on a £650,000 investment to extend its Perthshire headquarters.

With support from a £300,000 funding package from Bank of Scotland, the builder has now doubled the size of its Aberuthven base in a move that will also boost the 124-strong workforce.

Scott Hadden, the chairman of Hadden Construction, said: “The new development gives our business more office space, with the additional capacity providing a platform for growth as the economic recovery gathers pace. It also allows us to reinvigorate our Hadden Homes brand as we look to recommence our own private residential developments.”

The company was impacted during the economic downturn but turnover is now on track to return to pre-recession levels of more than £20 million, and it is recruiting for various roles.

SME banking relationship manager Andy McKie said: “Hadden Construction has successfully navigated itself through a tough economic climate for the sector and is well positioned for growth.

“The investment in its headquarter operations is a great milestone for the business and we are proud to be a part of that, and of our strong working relationship with its management team.

“We look forward to supporting the business through its next stage of development as it looks to build its workforce and turnover during 2015.”

Hadden has recently appointed to convert a former Dundee primary school into flats following the collapse of Muirfield Contracts.
