Hardies appoints associate quantity surveyor to Glasgow office

Hardies Property & Construction Consultants has appointed James Beckwith as an associate quantity surveyor in its Glasgow office.

An experienced and commercially astute quantity surveyor, project manager and construction consultant, Beckwith qualified as a chartered quantity surveyor in 2008, was made a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2013 and a full member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2017.

He holds masters degrees in surveying and history and a PgDip in construction law.



Having worked on projects in the UK, Australia and the Middle East, Beckwith has had an international career spanning 15 years in construction, including work on such major developments as the Greenwich Design District, the Rockhampton Hospital Extension and the Albion Flour Mill.

Commenting on his appointment, Beckwith said: “I’m delighted to join a multi-disciplined practice that continues to expand its operations and am pleased to be given an opportunity to play a part in serving clients throughout Glasgow and the west of Scotland.”
