National NHS framework selects Morgan Sindall Construction

Morgan Sindall Construction has been appointed to the NHS Shared Business Services Public Sector Construction Works Framework.

NHS Shared Business Services was established by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) in 2005 and is a joint venture between DHSC and Sopra Steria, specialists in IT and digital integration. Its mission is to improve quality, support better patient outcomes and drive better value for money within the NHS.

The £10.5 billion, seven-year NHS Shared Business Services Public Sector Construction Works Framework will provide a compliant procurement route to market for all NHS and wider public sector construction works requirements across the UK.

Each contractor appointed to the framework was able to bid for two adjoining lots, with Morgan Sindall Construction successful in its bids for the £5m - £15m and £15m - £35m.

Alex Isted, integrated strategic business director at Morgan Sindall Construction, said: “The past year has once again underlined that the NHS and its staff are the backbone of our country, and we look forward to supporting the service through our role on this important framework.

“Our appointment to the NHS Shared Business Services Construction Works Framework is testament to our strength in delivering schemes that have a significant impact in local communities while supporting social value outcomes. It also reflects that innovation runs through everything we do, supported by robust management systems that enable our projects to be delivered with high quality, efficiently and to budget.”
