The second facility in the city for Bricks Capital’s ‘true student’ brand, the 13 storey L-shaped tower will create 315 high-quality rooms in a mix of individual studios and shared apartments with associated communal areas.

Students will benefit from a range of facilities including a gym, cinema, as well as study areas and laundry facilities.

The building is expected to open in late summer of 2020.

The first ‘true student’ residence in the city, also built by Ogilvie, opened in Kelvinhaugh Street in the West End in 2017. The 592-room development won Property Week’s ‘UK Private Halls of Residence of the Year 2018’.

Donald MacDonald, managing director, Ogilvie Construction, said: “We are proud to continue our partnership with Bricks Capital and look forward to handing over a building of the highest standard incorporating the latest sustainable materials and design.  When complete, the building will create a unique modern city living environment for students in Glasgow.”
