Morrison Construction has announced the promotion of Paul Ingham to lead its environment business in Scotland.

Mr Ingham, currently head of service delivery for water frameworks, will succeed Steve Slessor, who has been promoted to lead the environment business across the entire UK-wide Galliford Try group.

Mr Slessor, who worked his way up from a quantity surveyor in 2006 to becoming regional director of the company’s environment operations in Scotland, will take up his new role on 1 March 2021.

The outgoing environment boss, Ian Jones, is retiring following a 41-year career with Galliford Try.

Bill Hocking, chief executive of Galliford Try, said: “Ian has given an entire career’s worth of service to our business and has played a key part in shaping the way our environment business operates, particularly in the water sector. He leaves big shoes to fill but it is testament to the strength of our business that we have an excellent successor in Steve ready to take that step up.

“I thank Ian for all his efforts over the years and congratulate Steve and Paul on their deserved promotions. I look forward to working with them and the Environment team as we look to build on recent framework successes and continue to deliver for our clients and stakeholders.”
