TWWS_Scotland Range 2_Street View_3Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has been secured detailed planning consent from North Lanarkshire Council for 160 new homes off Glasgow Road in Bargeddie.

Taylor Wimpey will deliver a high-quality range of new homes that offers a choice of three and four bedroom styles to ensure the development appeals to a wide range of customers. This development will also boast a design that aims to create a sense of place and maximises the latest Scottish Government Planning Policy for ‘Designing Streets’.

This will give priority for pedestrians over vehicles through the use of shared surfaces; the provision of amenity space that will create a sense of community and urban courts that will provide natural areas of focus at key points of the development, as well as the provision of public open space for the enjoyment of all.

Stephen Andrew, technical director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added: “We are delighted to confirm that detailed planning consent has been granted for our land off Glasgow Road in Bargeddie.

“This consent will allow us to continue our commitment to the North Lanarkshire area. We’re looking forward to delivering a development that offers buyers a great choice of new homes and provides a wide range of economic benefits to the local community that includes supporting around 40 jobs per year of construction and the attraction of new customers to local businesses.

“This planning consent marks our ongoing commitment, investment and strong track record of delivering excellent quality developments of family homes right across the west and central Scotland.”
