BAM FM is recruiting a Bid Writer. The position will involve a mixture of working from home and working out any UK and Ireland office location. BAM operates a flexible working policy.
The FM Bid Writer will be involved in working as part of the Solutions team to draft high quality facilities management responses to tenders and developing Integrated FM service delivery models and case studies.
This role will be working Monday- Friday. 8.30-4.45pm. Your mission
The Bid Writer is responsible for creating, editing, and refining high-quality written content for bids and proposals across the Facilities Management (FM) sector. This role works closely with the Bid Manager, Solutions Team, and other internal stakeholders to produce compelling, clear, and compliant bid responses that align with BAM’s strategic goals. The Bid Writer will ensure the accuracy, professionalism, and competitiveness of all bid submissions while contributing to the continuous improvement of bid content and processes.
Key Responsibilities
• Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread high-quality, tailored bid responses that align with BAM’s strategic objectives and values.
• Collaboration: Work with Bid Managers and stakeholders to gather insights and ensure bid content reflects key win themes and client needs.
• Document Management: Maintain and update a bid content library, ensuring alignment with best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Quality Control: Ensure all written content is error-free, consistent, and adheres to submission guidelines.
• Digital Solutions: Leverage Microsoft 365 for document management and collaboration, streamlining the bid process.
• Market Awareness: Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings to ensure competitive bids.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-bid reviews, contributing to the evolution of bid processes and templates.
Who are we looking for?
• Demonstrable experience of compelling bid writing material within FM sector.
• Solid knowledge of FM market and quality written responses.
• Experience coordinating .
• Excellent commercial awareness coupled with a strategic mind-set.
• Competent knowledge of IT packages.
• Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent people skills &communication skills.
• Achieve set standards and operate to performance criteria.
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment.
• Experience of working within a fast-paced corporate environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
