Board Members – Dunbritton Housing Association
Dunbritton Housing Association (DHA) is looking to continue to develop its Board. In recent Board appraisals, members highlighted the wish to appoint new members with experience in construction or development, and banking or finance.
Dunbritton are a high-flying association, with key performance statistics in the upper quartile of social housing. Working on our board will provide the opportunity for the successful candidates to develop their knowledge of social housing as well as to pick up key board and governance experience which they may then transfer to their own career development.
This role will offer the opportunity to develop a range of skills and knowledge, especially around governance, finance, and strategic planning. New members will be fully supported by our Corporate Services team and through colleagues on the Board. We look to develop our Board members and shall offer training to help improve their knowledge. New members will be given a full induction and regular training will be provided to enable you to plan, lead and support the strategic direction of the Association in future.
The position of Board Member is voluntary; however reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be paid for example for attending meetings. Our Board meets on a Wednesday evening at 6 pm, usually the penultimate Wednesday of the month. Meetings are held both in person and online.
