And finally… Mactaggart & Mickel to launch first ever television advertising campaign

Housebuilder Mactaggart & Mickel is moving into television advertising, for the first since it was established in 1925.

The company has enlisted the support of specialist marketing agency Multiply to create a four-week TV campaign around a theme of Moments that Matter. The advertising campaign will appear on screens from September 4 with slots booked on Sky HD in Central Scotland and Oxfordshire, two locations where Mactaggart & Mickel has new homes for sale.

Joanne Casey, a director of Mactaggart & Mickel with overall responsibility for sales and marketing, said: “We launched a new brand earlier this year and, at the same time, are increasing our presence in Oxfordshire. We feel the time is right to build engagement with our customers in an appealing way. We have used video effectively for over 12 years, but this will be our first venture into a commercial medium.

“By focussing on the moments that matter to buyers, we will be able to highlight one of our key strengths - our award-winning five-star customer service for customers before, during and after they move into their new home.”

The advertisements were filmed at Mactaggart & Mickel’s developments at Symington in South Ayrshire, and Milton-under-Wychwood in The Cotswolds.

David Roberts, head of business at Multiply, said: “Moving to a new home is exciting and emotional, and move-in day is even more so. This campaign focuses on memorable moments experienced by a family as they settle in and begin to relax and enjoy their new surroundings.

“We are delighted to be collaborating with Mactaggart & Mickel, a brand with an amazing pedigree.  The campaign was inspired by feedback from customers who have bought one of their homes.”

Media specialist The Media Shop Scotland managed the bookings which include Sky HD, video display and social channels.
