HLM makes list of Top 100 Best Small Companies to Work For

Design and architecture company HLM is one of four architecture practices to make the ‘Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For’ 2019 list.

The firm, which has studios in Glasgow, has also retained its ‘Two Star’ accreditation status, given to organisations that make an ‘outstanding’ commitment to workplace engagement.

Karen Mosley, HLM managing director, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the whole practice and benchmarks us against all types of companies UK-wide, not just those in our sector.

“In today’s society it’s common for individuals to have many competing demands in their lives and work-life balance is important. Our aim is to always do what we possibly can to promote wellbeing, engagement, personal growth and inclusivity.

“We work with a ‘one-team’ culture across our studios, have an Academy to help individuals progress and develop new skills, offer agile working befitting a modern workforce, and give support at every level.”

Jonathan Austin, founder and CEO of Best Companies, said: “I would like to congratulate HLM on its achievement of a Two Star Accreditation status and being named as one of the UK’s Best Companies to Work for. Best Companies have been producing the Accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. We are proud that organisations like HLM Architects focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that they’re a best company to work for.”

HLM offers expertise across five disciplines including Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Environmental and Masterplanning. It has studios in Glasgow, London, Sheffield, Belfast, Cardiff and Manchester, as well as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
