Mactaggart & Mickel appoints Jamie McLean as group head of construction
Luxury housebuilder and developer Mactaggart & Mickel has promoted Jamie McLean to group head of construction.
This new role has been created to bring together four construction divisions within the group – Homes Scotland, Homes England, Contracts and Timber Systems – specifically to foster greater knowledge-sharing and resource utilisation.
Jamie was previously head of Contracts and Timber Systems. He joined Mactaggart & Mickel in 1993 as a joiner and has held a number of positions including health & safety manager, site manager and general manager of the Contracts division, the area of the business that undertakes building projects for external organisations such as local authorities, housing associations, retailers and care homes.
Jamie said: “As we expand our business into new geographical areas, it is increasingly important that we continue to share expertise and deploy our resources in the most effective way. This new role gives me oversight of our entire construction operation.”
Ed Monaghan, group CEO of Mactaggart & Mickel, added: “Jamie brings a unique set of skills to this new role, honed over 26 years working across almost every facet of our business. His experience makes him ideally placed to ensure our construction operations continue to excel.”
Jamie will divide his time between Scotland and the company’s English base in Cheltenham.
