A man was killed at a South Lanarkshire construction site after his boss crushed him with a digger he was not trained to use.

Front Row Builders owner Robert Harvey, 42, struck Nicholas Hall, 33, with the vehicle’s bucket at the Blantyre building site in May 2016.

Mr Hall died at the site, with the cause of death recorded as blunt force injuries of the chest and abdomen due to an accident at work.



Mr Harvey has pleaded guilty to breaching healthy and safety laws and will be sentenced by Hamilton Sheriff Court next month, The Times reports.
