New chairman unveiled at Sir Robert McAlpine
Edward McAlpine is to take over as chairman at Sir Robert McAlpine as Gavin McAlpine prepares to step down after three years in the post.
The change will see Edward move up from his executive partner position on the board with effect from January 1 next year, succeeding his cousin Gavin who will focus on the group’s renewable energy business.
During his, Gavin guided the business through a transformative period, overseeing the introduction of a new strategy, the appointment of a new chief executive, and a return to profitability.
