Aitken Turnbull announces four senior promotions

Sebastian Mercer, Fraser Hunter, Callum Ford and Gavin Fallen
Architectural practice Aitken Turnbull has announced a set of senior promotions across its Edinburgh and Galashiels studios, reinforcing the depth of expertise within its leadership team and underlining the firm’s commitment to developing its people and building long-term careers.
The firm, which also has studios in Manchester, has promoted Callum Ford, Fraser Hunter, Gavin Fallen and Sebastian Mercer to associates. As well as being made associates, Callum now has additional responsibility as a technical lead, whist Fraser and Gavin become studio leads.
Callum Ford has been an integral part of the Aitken Turnbull technical team for over 20 years, working his way up to senior architectural technician while gaining solid technical know-how and deep industry insight. In his new role, Callum will apply his expertise to drive technical quality and successful delivery across the board.
Fraser Hunter joined Aitken Turnbull five years ago in the firm’s Galashiels studio helping to deliver key projects across varying sectors. As associate & studio lead, Fraser will oversee the Galashiels studio, helping guide team development and studio growth.
Gavin Fallen joined the firm’s Edinburgh team as senior architectural designer two years ago. In his new position as associate & studio Lead, he will take on wider leadership of the Edinburgh team, helping strengthen the studio’s operations and team culture.
Sebastian Mercer, who joined Aitken Turnbull six years ago, has shown continually strong project management and leadership skills. As an associate, he will help shape project delivery and contribute to the practice’s future direction.
