Aldi reveals store locations set for upgrades in Scotland

Supermarket chain Aldi has announced its store locations which will be upgraded this summer in Scotland, forming part of its £300 million investment into its current stores in 2026.
The stores in Basin View, Montrose; Greenpark Drive, Polmont; Newhailes Road, Musselburgh and the Cornhill Shopping Arcade, Aberdeen will be upgraded during the summer.
The upgrades will differ based on the location but will include more shopping space as well as well as more sustainable additions, such as natural refrigerants to cut down carbon emissions and energy-efficient fridge doors.
Selected stores will also have an upgraded bakery, fresh food spaces and Health and Beauty.
In the UK, 25 locations will receive upgrades including Aberdeen, Musselburgh, London, Manchester and Liverpool.
Jonathan Neale, managing director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: “These upgrades will help us create even more convenient and efficient stores for both customers and colleagues while also supporting our sustainability ambitions.
“The announcement builds on Aldi’s wider investment plans for 2026, which also include a £370 million commitment to opening new stores across the UK.”
