Over a thousand computers used to mine cryptocurrency have been crushed by police using a steamroller.

And finally... bit excessive

The 1,069 bitcoin mining rigs were seized by police in Malaysia after miners allegedly stole electricity worth $2 million from the power grid.

Video circulated on social media shows the computers laid out in a car park at police headquarters and destroyed with a steamroller, CNBC reports.

In other jurisdictions, police have sold seized mining rigs – but in this case, they were ordered by a court to destroy the devices.
