And finally… Daredevils climb world’s second tallest building

A notorious pair of daredevils have taken a selfie balanced on a crane atop of the world’s second tallest building.

Russian-Ukrainian thrill seeker Vitaly Raskalov and his friend Vadim Makhorov said they were inspired to climb the building because of positive feedback they received after scaling Shanghai Tower last year.

“That amount of feedback led us to an idea of making a tradition of roof toping new skyscrapers all around the world,” they said in a statement.

“Today’s hero of attention is a new financial centre still under construction and is situated in Shenzhen, China.”

The pair filmed on GoPros as they broke into the 115-story building, which is currently in the final stages of construction.

The building is slated to be the tallest in China once finished. The 115-story building is currently in the final stages of construction and its roof will be over 555 meters high when the tower is complete in 2016. With the antennae counted in, the height of the skyscraper would be 660 meters, beating China’s current highest building, the Shanghai Tower, by almost 30 meters.

After scaling a crane atop of the building, they used a selfie stick to get a photo elevated 660 meters above the ground.

The YouTube video of the achievement has received over 1 million views in two days.
