And finally… flush-faced
A Labour councillor’s trip to the toilet during a meeting of Glasgow City Council’s planning committee was caught on camera after the elected member forgot to turn off his webcam.
Footage of the incident circulating online shows Bailie Hanif Raja walking into his bathroom and placing his laptop on the ground.
He then undoes his trousers and starts to sit on the toilet, The Herald reports.
The councillor, who represents Pollokshields, only stops when Green councillor Elaine Gallagher asks him if he is “aware that your camera is live?”
The toilet stop came as councillors discussed a motion at Tuesday’s meeting about a bid to build a battery storage system in Ibrox.
The council has taken the webcast recording offline. It is understood that it will be edited, without removing any of the discussion, and reuploaded.
