And finally… Fry-day commute

A truck carrying a full load of hot dogs left Pennsylvania drivers in a pickle on Friday morning after spilling its cargo across a busy highway.
The trailer was torn open when the truck scraped along a concrete divider, sending thousands of sausages rolling across the road in Shrewsbury.
It was a truly wurst-case scenario for commuters, who faced lane closures and delays as crews worked to clean up the meaty mess.
Firefighters and road crews “mustard” up the courage to tackle the greasy scene, and they weren’t shy about describing the challenge.
“Once those leave the truck and hit the road, that’s all garbage—and it’s still pretty warm,” said Shrewsbury Fire Company Chief Brad Dauberman.
“I can tell you personally, hot dogs are very slippery. I did not know that,” he added.
To clear the scene, workers deployed a front-end loader to scoop the slick sausages into a dump truck.
By mid-morning, the highway was reopened—though perhaps with a lingering scent of grilled regret.
