And finally… lighten up

A football club has said it is pressing on with plans to install UV-C lighting to combat Covid-19 in spite of concerns about their use.

And finally... lighten up

PSV, a top tier team in the Netherlands, will install UV-C lighting in various parts of its stadium to disinfect the air, Electrical Review reports.

Though UV-C lighting is known to be effective against the virus, experts warn that UV-C lighting can in some cases damage people’s skin and eyes.

Because of this, many industry organisations say UV-C lighting should only be used by professionals.

Contractor Signify insists that the lighting it is installing for PSV is perfectly safe.
