And finally… memory block
Balhousie Primary School’s former pupils, teachers, staff and members of the local community are being given the opportunity to own a small piece of the school’s history.
Built in 1908, the school was part of local life for more than a century, with generations of children passing through its doors and countless memories created within its walls.
Following the fire and subsequent demolition of the former school building, a quantity of original brickwork was carefully preserved. Now members of the community are being given the chance to keep a small piece of that story alive.
Pupils who attended the school, either known as Balhousie Primary or Northern District School, or anyone who worked there or have fond memories and would like a piece of the original brickwork are encouraged to email PropertyHelpDesk@pkc.gov.uk, with a subject heading “Balhousie Primary School Memento.”
