And finally... no f-owl play

A construction project in Florida had to be paused recently after workers discovered a burrowing owl egg.

Following the discovery, construction workers off Cape Coral Parkway near the Bimini Basin followed all the regulations to remove the nest before finding the egg, Fox4now reports.

Rusty Martin, Brooks & Freund’s site manager, said there are hopes that the egg can still hatch as both the adult owls were observed back at the burrow the next day.

The official breeding season for the burrowing owl is from February 15 to July 10, although earlier hatching are becoming a trend over the past few years.
