Aberdeen FC Community Trust has received the funding to help its work in addressing inequality, improving health and wellbeing, and developing opportunities for people of all ages across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The cheque was presented at Pittodrie Stadium by Tanya Fowlie, sales director at Persimmon Homes North Scotland, as well as Duncan Massey, who is a member of the Scottish Parliament for North East Scotland.

Set up in 2014 as the partner charity of Aberdeen Football Club, the Trust works with thousands of people each year through programmes focused on education as well as football, health and wellbeing.

Peter Davidson, chief executive at Aberdeen FC Community Trust, said: “We’re really grateful to the Persimmon Foundation for their support of AFCCT and their genuine interest in what we do. That support plays a key role in helping us continue to make a positive impact in communities across Aberdeen.”
