And finally… Rope access company teams up with Fringe performers

Stars of Fringe show Don Juan Andrew Paterson and Susie Berry are caught between a rock and a hard place as they channel the romance of the legendary lover Don Juan – a man so adept at the art of seduction, he thinks nothing of scaling a 100ft climbing wall in heels to reach the object of his desire.

Thanks to support from height experts Access North, two performers from the hit interactive theatre show Don Juan take the pursuit of love to the extreme at this year’s festival. With the support of Access North clients Edinburgh International Climbing Arena, Andrew and Susie have taken romance to new heights.

Andrew and Susie are two members of the five strong cast of Don Juan an international hit show from New Zealand running at Assembly George Square at 1.10pm until 27 August. This hilarious party experience sees “French” performers enlist the audience to create a riotous retelling of Don Juan.

Putting the audience in the centre of the action as literal stars of the show means Don Juan feels like a wild dress up party. As hosts, the sassy performers combine brilliant theatrical magic, twisted pop songs and explosive wit.

In a unique partnership for the construction industry Access North have come on board as sponsors for NZ Theatre company A Slightly Isolated Dog.

Access North business development director, Daniel Northcott, spoke of the partnership: “We’re thrilled to work with the talented tight knit team behind Don Juan. Their camaraderie, support for each and dedication really impressed us and we saw a similar mindset and professionalism in our own teams. Top notch performance in construction and on the stage are underpinned by the same things; accountability, trust and transparency. It’s wonderful to learn the company’s success continues in Edinburgh and like Access North we can’ wait to learn what dizzy heights will be scaled next.”
