And finally... Santa's little bricklayers

Construction students from the Heart of Worcestershire College’s (HoW College) Malvern campus have built a giant brick snowman to spread some festive cheer as the annual Christmas theme project.

The project allowed students to showcase their technical skills and work collaboratively to create a solid construction. The final brick snowman stands at over 11 feet tall and was built with a radius brick on edge, which takes a lot of skill. With approximately 3,000 bricks as part of the build, the structure weighs about 5 tons.

And finally... Santa's little bricklayers

Martin Harwood, brickwork lecturer at HoW College, said: “This build was a monumental effort from students and staff alongside college course work. I would like to thank all the students and staff that helped, a massive collaboration between everyone here at HOW College Malvern campus. It was a great opportunity for the students to come together for a festive project and showcase many of the skills they’ve learned over the duration of their course so far.

“A special thank you to Mark Davis for all his help with the build, Mark Stockton, Craig Costello. Ryan Probert & Nicky Carter for allowing us to go ahead with such a project and to bring innovation and imagination to life.”
