And finally... the wasp factory

A radioactive wasp nest was discovered by workers at a nuclear facility in the US last month.

The terrifying nest was discovered at the facility in South Carolina during “routine radiological monitoring activities”, the Aiken Standard reports.

It was tested and found to be at least 10 times more radioactive than permissible under federal regulations.

The nest was sprayed and then removed and disposed of as radioactive waste.

No danger was posed to members of the public as a result of the wasp nest, which was not the product of a radiation leak, authorities said.
