Douglas Benefield was working as a security guard on a construction site in Cathedral City, California when he spotted the weird occurrence on the building’s CCTV camera.

Benefield, who now works in construction, filmed the clip while working in nearby Cathedral City on July 23, 2018.

He said: “I was sitting there and everything just felt weird all of a sudden, I can’t really explain.

“Then out the corner of my eye I saw something on the monitor, so I played it back and I couldn’t believe my eyes. I kept watching it over and over again.”

Benefield said his life was so busy at the time that he didn’t think to show the footage to anyone else. But he recently found the video again and decided it was something that needed to be shared with the public.

“I cannot explain what is going on in that video but it’s extremely strange. I’ve watched it so many times and it still gives me chills,” he said.
