Persimmon Homes has promoted Andrew Liddle to the role of regional commercial director, with responsibility for commercial operations across Scotland and North West England.

Andrew, from Motherwell, will now oversee five regional businesses: East Scotland, North Scotland, West Scotland, North West, and Lancashire. He will report directly to regional chairman John Roocroft and work closely with the five operating businesses to ensure strong commercial performance across the division.

He brings over 20 years of experience in the construction and housebuilding industry, having joined Persimmon Homes West Scotland in 2018, where he most recently served as chief surveyor.

As regional commercial director, Andrew will lead on all aspects of cost management, procurement, and commercial strategy, ensuring Persimmon continues to deliver high-quality, affordable, and energy-efficient homes across the region. His responsibilities include overseeing contractor relationships, material procurement, land viability assessments, and financial forecasting across dozens of developments.

Andrew Liddle said: “It’s a real privilege to take on this role and support five fantastic regional businesses.

“I’m proud to be part of a company delivering real value to communities, and I look forward to helping ensure we maintain strong commercial discipline while building great homes across Scotland and North West England.”

John Roocroft, regional chair for Scotland and North West England, said: “Andrew’s promotion is well deserved and reflects the dedication and expertise he has brought to Persimmon over the last six years.

“His commercial insight and leadership will be vital as we continue to grow our presence and deliver for customers and communities across the region.”

Andrew will formally take up the role on 1st October.
