In his new role, Andrew will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic sites and will work closely with his colleagues at the CALA Group, the housebuilding arm of Legal & General.

Legal & General has an existing strategic land portfolio of in excess of 3,500 acres, spanning from Luton to Cardiff. The strategic land and major projects team is responsible for creating large-scale residential developments as well as working with local authorities to bring forward plans that support major employment.

Andrew brings over 25 years’ experience to his new role and has an impressive track record in both residential and mixed-use development. His most recent position was managing director of Burlington Developments and, prior to that, he held director-level roles with leading developers such as George Wimpey, Crest Nicholson and the Berkeley Group.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a respected and forward-thinking Group which has ambitious plans for the future, an innovative approach to development and a flexible and supportive culture.

“A key factor in my decision to join the business was the opportunity to work on the North Horsham project which is an area of the country I know very well. We have the potential to deliver an exemplar development here and a sustainable multi-tenure community.”

Nick Twine, regional chairman, CALA Group, added: “Andrew has invaluable experience in our sector and a unique skill set for this role. I’m looking forward to working with him on the delivery of North Horsham as well as identifying and securing other long-term options for the housebuilding divisions of the Legal & General Group.”
