Housebuilder and construction specialist Bancon Group has made a series of senior leadership appointments, with Andrew Tweedie transitioning from his previous role as chief financial officer to chief executive officer.
Mr Tweedie brings a strong combination of strategic insight, financial expertise and in-depth knowledge of the business, positioning him well to lead Bancon into the future.
The changes reflect the group’s continued evolution and strategic focus on strengthening land acquisition across both private and affordable housing, expanding timber frame design and manufacturing capability, and accelerating its retrofit offering.
As part of this transition, executive chair Bob McAlpine is to step back into a non-executive chair role, providing continued support to the leadership team and ensuring strong governance at board level.
Jamie Tosh will continue as managing director of the private homes, land-led affordable and retrofit divisions.
He will join Mr McAlpine, Mr Tweedie and the group’s shareholders on the main board.
David Crawford will remain managing director of Deeside Timberframe, continuing to lead the growth and development of the timber frame business.
James Adamson has been promoted to group finance director and will join the operating board, while Kate Dick has also been promoted to the position of finance director for homes and construction, further strengthening the leadership team.
New CEO Andrew Tweedie said: “These appointments demonstrate Bancon Group’s commitment to developing internal talent while ensuring continuity, strong leadership and clear strategic focus.
“We remain well positioned to build on our strong foundations, continuing to grow, innovate and deliver high-quality homes and communities for our customers across both Scotland and England.”
