Paisley-based construction firm CGC Construction has welcomed a new member to its growing team.

Angela Clarkson has joined the staff as the company’s steel fabrication division continues to expand.

Angela from Renfrewshire has taken up her role as Estimator based at CGC’s steel fabrication HQ in Fulbar, Paisley.

The new appointment comes as CGC continues to win new orders for its high quality steel fabrication work – an area of rapid expansion for the business.

CGC director David Gray, who heads up the division, said: “Angela’s appointment takes account of increasing demand for the wide range of products we make. Angela is a welcome addition to the team as we bring high levels of professionalism and expertise to everything we do at CGC.”

Angela, who joins CGC from a company in Ayrshire where she undertook a similar role, added: “I’m delighted to have joined CGC which is increasingly seen as first choice for many customers when it comes to the fabrication of steel products.”

Angela’s appointment is the latest in a series of new roles and comes soon after the opening of a new office in Ayr.

In the biggest expansion of the firm in recent years, the company has purchased new premises in Crown Street, Ayr from where it will co-ordinate its major presence in Ayrshire.

CGC is also now recruiting for “all trades” workers including joiners, groundworkers, flat roofers, painters, joiners, electricians, estimators, metalworkers, drainage engineers. There are also vacancies for contracts managers, site managers and project managers across the business.

Leo Reilly, managing director of CGC, said: “The new jobs we have recently announced reflect our strong performance as a business and the significant expansion of our work particularly in the area of steel fabrication.”
