ArcTech (Scotland) marks ten year anniversary highlighting track record of high quality delivery
Linlithgow Care Home
Arc-Tech (Scotland) is marking its 10-year anniversary in 2026 by highlighting a growing track record of delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services for new build care homes in the Scottish care sector.
Since 2016, the Glasgow-based firm has supported the delivery of 13 care homes across 10 local authority areas, working alongside a range of contractor and developer partners to help create modern, purpose-built environments for elderly residential, nursing and dementia care.
These projects – including completed works and residences currently under construction – represent more than 600 private bed spaces, rising to over 800 beds by the end of 2027, as well as 134 bed spaces for local authority clients and charitable organisations.
The division has built a strong reputation for delivering complex, compliant, and energy-efficient solutions tailored to the specific operational needs of care operators, with an average of 10 contract staff, 10 sub-contractors and 2 trade apprentices based on each project.
Its scope involves turnkey mechanical and electrical services, including life-safety systems, fire suppression, lighting, heating & ventilation, sanitary ware, and data & communications
Arc Tech is currently onsite supporting the construction of new care homes in Clarkston and Linlithgow for Morrison Community Care Group, a multi-award-winning developer that operates UK-wide.
A further two contract awards have also been secured for projects in Edinburgh and South Ayrshire for a national care operator, which will move into delivery phases later this year.
As care operators continue to invest in high-quality, future-proofed residences, Arc-Tech’s experience working within live programmes, meeting stringent regulatory requirements, and coordinating closely with contractors and designers has become a key differentiator.
John Gallacher, Arc-Tech (Scotland) managing director, said: “Reaching our 10th anniversary is an important moment for Arc-Tech, and it’s fitting that we can mark it by reflecting on the scale of our contribution to the Scottish care sector.
“These purpose-built residences are highly technical, safety-critical environments, and we’re proud of the trust placed in us by our partners to help deliver care homes that support comfort, dignity and long-term operational resilience.”
The care sector now represents a core area of growth for Arc-Tech, aligning with wider demographic trends and sustained investment in specialist accommodation to address Scotland’s growing ageing population.
With a strong pipeline of work and established partnerships, the company is well-positioned to continue supporting care providers with reliable, high-quality M&E solutions over the next decade.
