Barratt and David Wilson Homes hail award-winning site managers
Shaun Quinn
Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes are celebrating after five site managers across Scotland were awarded with a ‘Seal of Excellence’ at the 2025 National House Building Council’s (NHBC) Pride in the Job Awards.
Awarded a Pride in the Job Quality Award earlier in the year, Midlothian senior site manager Shaun Quinn has now received the prestigious ‘Seal of Excellence’ award for demonstrating exceptional standards at his Rosewell Meadow site.
Rosewell Meadow, a development by David Wilson Homes, is located in the former mining village of Rosewell, just seven miles from Edinburgh city centre. The site is now in its final phase.
Every site manager who is registered with the NHBC is automatically entered into the awards, with only a select few being awarded the Seal of Excellence from over hundreds of entrants, showcasing the top 5% in British housebuilding.
The judges look at a range of key criteria, including consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety, helping to build quality standards across both developments and teams.
Shaun Quinn, senior site manager, said: “It’s an honour to receive such a prestigious award for the hard work put in from everyone who has contributed to the development at Rosewell Meadow.
“Building high-quality homes for our customers really is a team effort, and this award reflects the dedication and commitment of the whole team to doing just that.”
Elsewhere in Carnbroe, Alistair Grant from Barratt Homes has also been recognised with a ‘Seal of Excellence’ award for demonstrating exceptional standards at his Calder Gardens site in Coatbridge.
