Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland complete over 2,700 hours of employee volunteering

Barratt West Scotland take part in a clean up of Strathclyde Park with CleanUpUK.

Employees at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Scotland, part of housebuilder Barratt Redrow, dedicated 2,746 hours of their time to community causes in 2025, as the business continues to invest in the areas where it builds.

The total, logged across the year, reflects the efforts of staff supporting local charities, community groups and projects throughout the north, east and west of Scotland. Activities ranged from hands-on practical work to fundraising and community events, with teams combining volunteering hours with wider charitable giving through the Community Fund operated under the Barratt Redrow Foundation.

In 2025, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes’ construction, management and sales teams from across Scotland completed a range of initiatives including litter picking to clean up the areas in their communities, climbed Tinto Hill in aid of St Andrews Hospice, took on ‘Elf Duties’ at Glasgow Children’s Hospital and collected donations for Launch Foods – a charity feeding Glasgow’s children.

The volunteering activity is in addition to £1,500 funding provided by the Barratt Redrow Foundation to each of the three Scottish divisions to donate every month to a deserving local cause. In 2025, Barratt and David Wilson Homes provided £63,000 to charities across Scotland through the Community Fund.

Alison Condie, regional managing director for Barratt Redrow in Scotland, said: “The 2,746 hours our Scotland teams put in last year is something to be genuinely proud of. Building homes is our business, but the people who live in those homes are part of communities which we help to create. Volunteering is how our teams play their part in that and the commitment they show, year on year, makes a real difference on the ground.”
