Bellway Homes and four sub-contractors have lent their support to ACCORD Hospice in Paisley by purchasing a twenty-three-foot fir tree for their annual Light up a Life Appeal.
The symbolic tree, which is located on the Hospice grounds, enables people to celebrate the life of someone special by sponsoring a light on the tree, as well as providing an attractive festive feature.
Families and supporters were recently invited to a celebratory illumination of the lights evening when the lights were officially switched on. Guests enjoyed sharing memories as well as Christmas music and refreshments.
Jennifer Cowley, sales manager, Bellway Homes Ltd (Scotland West) said: “We don’t really think of the expense of these large Christmas trees and it’s a costly addition at this time of year. We were delighted to step in to help as we greatly appreciate the ongoing work of the Hospice and the valuable support it provides to Renfrewshire families.”

David McFadden, fundraising & communications manager at ACCORD Hospice, added: “We’re so grateful to Bellway Homes and their partners for making this year’s Light Up a Life tree possible.
“Each light represents a cherished memory and brings comfort to families during the festive season. Their generosity helps us create a space for reflection and hope at a time that matters most.”
The sub-contractors who supported the Appeal included STCS Joinery, McCafferty Brickwork, Jordan Electrics and Glenavon Plumbing.
