Brothers promoted to assistant site managers after 12 years with Persimmon
Scott and Alec Smith
Two brothers from Stonehouse, South Lanarkshire, have celebrated a remarkable double achievement after both being promoted to assistant site managers at Persimmon Homes West Scotland.
Alec Smith, 47, and his younger brother Scott, 43, both joined Persimmon on the very same day over 13 years ago as joiners. Since then, the pair have gone on to play a key role in building hundreds of quality new homes across the west of Scotland.
Alec is now working at Persimmon’s Dargavel Village development in Bishopton, while Scott has taken up his new role at the Annick Grange site in Irvine.
Michael McCarron, construction director at Persimmon Homes West Scotland, said: “Alec and Scott’s story is a fantastic example of what can be achieved through hard work, teamwork, and commitment. We are very proud of their progress and delighted to see them both step into management roles.
“Their journey shows the opportunities available within Persimmon for people who want to grow their careers in construction.”
Reflecting on the promotion, Alec Smith added: “It’s been great to come through the business alongside my brother – starting out on the same day and now stepping up into these new roles together.
“I’m looking forward to this next chapter as an assistant site manager.”
