Bruton Knowles secures public sector work worth almost quarter of a million

Chartered surveyor Bruton Knowles has widened its presence in Scotland after acquiring its first significant public sector work worth almost a combined quarter of a million pounds.

Asset and Insurance Valuations for Dumfries and Galloway Council and Annual Asset Valuations for Stirling Council will be provided by the surveyor, as part of the two tenders.

This comes after growth at the surveyor firm after it launched a new hub in Edinburgh, which is one of 15 in Scotland. It also comes after Rab Williams was appointed as the firm’s senior utilities manager based in the region.

Williams has recently worked with Rolls Royce in energy storage systems in the role of senior project manager.

Previously, Williams had worked as a senior development manager for a renewable energy developer, where he oversaw a portfolio amounting to almost 650 Megawatts and spearheaded the project management and land acquisition in Scotland.

Williams said: “In my relatively short time here [Bruton Knowles], the Utilities and Infrastructure team have demonstrated passion and dedication to our clients and continue to shine through as we deliver regulation-compliant valuation services.”

James Bailey, managing partner at Bruton Knowles, said: “These new contract wins are a real statement of intent, strengthening our ties with the region and underlining our status as a trusted and reliable partner for public sector organisations.

“Looking ahead, we continue to expand the team in Scotland, actively recruiting for Associate or Senior Associate Valuation Surveyors.”
