Buccleuch Property Challenge gears up for 15th edition

The much-awaited 15th edition of the Buccleuch Property Challenge is all set to welcome 86 enthusiastic teams from across the UK property industry to this year’s event taking place on Friday 8th September at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfriesshire.

The organisers are thrilled to announce their renewed collaboration with Horse Time, a mental-health charity renowned for their innovative approach to therapy using a herd of 13 therapeutic horses and ponies.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the 2022 Challenge could not be held, however the event organisers are resolute in their commitment to supporting Horse Time and their beneficiaries with a target to raise a minimum of £10,000 to help support Horse Time’s vital work.

Founded by Sue Brewis in 2016 and based at the Trauma Therapy Centre in Coldstream, Scottish Borders, Horse Time counts 2 therapists, 6 regular volunteers and 13 horses and ponies on its team alongside several more volunteers who act as mentors or lend their expertise on the workshops.

They have found that their approach, connecting with nature and the non-judgemental presence of horses, has managed to help many people who have struggled with more traditional forms of therapy and delivered some extraordinary long term results.

Recently, Joanna and Caroline, representatives of the Buccleuch Property Challenge, had the opportunity to visit Horse Time, reconnecting with Sue and Fiona, and gaining first hand insight into the profound impact of the organization’s therapy sessions on participants.
