Cala Homes site manager gets Pride in the Job accolade

Scott Connor

A Cala Homes (West) site manager from Glasgow has been given the Pride in the Job award from the National Home Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job award.

Construction senior site manager for Cala Homes West at The Foundry in Glasgow, Scott Connor, won the award -  his first Pride in the Job accolade.

The annual awards, now in its 46th year, face a rigorous judging process with assessments across six key qualities: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.

Connor will now progress on to the Seal of Excellence stage of the awards, with regional winners then able to compete for the national Supreme award.

In response to his accolade, Scott said: “This achievement is only possible thanks to the wider team at The Foundry and all of our sub-contractors who we work closely with.

“Having a consistent core workforce is key to the success of this fantastic development which features a range of bespoke apartments suited to a wide variety of our buyers.”

Scott added: “It’s this commitment we have as a team to delivering high quality homes which I believe has seen us win this remarkable accolade.”

Ian Conway, managing director for Cala Homes West, said: “Congratulations to Scott on his win in this year’s Pride in the Job Quality Awards. This is a highly regarded accolade which is testament to the hard work carried out every day, ensuring our site and its teams, including our subcontractor partners, achieve the highest standards for our customers and communities.”

The Foundry is situated in Glasgow’s southside, providing one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and penthouses.
