Neil Ross has been appointed as the new director of placemaking opportunities for Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association.

Mr Ross will spearhead development activity in relation to innovations, partnerships and investment.

Based in Edinburgh, Mr Ross takes up the role from his position as business development manager at Places for People Developments.



In a career spanning over 30 years, Neil has had responsibility for all aspects of the residential development process from site identification through to build completion.

With a key focus on collaboration and placemaking, he has delivered mixed tenure developments ranging from small scale through to multi-million pound, many of which have received industry recognition.

Neil Ross said: “I’m delighted to join the senior management team in this newly created role to help build strong collaborative partnerships and find new opportunities for our special brand of placemaking north of the border. As a group, Places for People has a focus on driving innovation for the benefit of communities and I will be also working with my colleagues to develop the best ideas for the wider market.”
