Cloch secures £2.5m for energy efficiency upgrades in Inverclyde

Cloch Housing Association has secured £2.5 million in matched funding from the Scottish Government’s Social Housing Net Zero Heat Fund.
This investment will deliver a £5m programme to install triple-glazed windows and insulated doors across approximately 600 properties in Inverclyde from November 2025 to May 2026, enhancing energy efficiency and tenant comfort.
The Social Housing Net Zero Heat Fund supports registered social landlords in decarbonising their housing stock. It facilitates clean heating systems and energy efficiency measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect tenants from fuel poverty. This initiative contributes to Scotland’s ambition of achieving net zero emissions by 2045, with social housing playing a central role in a sustainable future.
The programme aligns with these objectives by installing triple-glazed windows and insulated doors, significantly improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions from heating. Tenants will benefit from lower utility bills due to better heat retention, reduced noise pollution from enhanced soundproofing, and increased security through modern fittings. These upgrades advance environmental goals while improving living standards and alleviating fuel poverty in the community.
Cloch Housing Association is collaborating with key delivery partners to ensure the project’s success. The Scottish Government provides vital funding through the Social Housing Net Zero Heat Fund. HOOS Development, a multi-disciplinary service provider, will oversee the project as project manager and architect, leveraging expertise in sustainable design. A.D.A. will administer the contract and serve as quantity surveyors, ensuring financial and regulatory compliance. Sidey will produce and fit the high-quality windows and doors.
